أخذت على عاتقي دومًا الدفاع عن استقلالي واستقلال القضاء والقضاة، في مجتمع يحترم قضائه كل الاحترام، ولا تحترمه حكوماته أدني احترام، بل وتتخذ العناد والصرامة والقسوة ونظام الطوارئ سياسة غير رشيدة للسيطرة عليه والعياذ بالله!
ولقد عشت عمري لذلك أجاهد نفسي طويلًا حتى تجاوزت سن الجهاد- سبق أن أصابني ضغط الدم المرتفع والشكر وأجريت أكثر من جراحة قلب مفتوح- وبات لزامًا على مثلي أن ينشر ما يعرف، لعله أن ينفع وطنه بما ينشره.
وإذ كانت مذبحة القضاة- كما أسماها التاريخ- وما ترتب عليها وما اقترن بها من أحداث، هي في الطليعة من هذه الاهتمامات، فقد أثرت أن أبدأ بنشر الوثائق الكاملة لخمس من الدعاوى القضائية التي أقمتها أمام محكمة النقض طعنًا في تصرفات السلطة المستبدة وما أنزلته في حقي وحق البلاد من أضرار، لا بهدف التعويض المادي، ولكن بهدف وضع المبادئ والأصول التي تقيد هذه السلطة وتحد من استبدادها وتردها إلى طريق الصواب، ثم أثنى بنشر مذكراتي الشخصية عن كل ذلك في جزء أول، واختتم هذه السلسلة بجزء ثالث، إن شاء الله، أعرض فيه سبل العلاج- بعد تحليل لواقع الحال اليوم- والله المستعان.
