يتناول هذا الكتاب دراسة أمرين: الأول: الأثر اللغوي للشعر، والأخر: الحقول الدلالية فيه، وقد كتبت بحوثاً في هذين الأمرين وارتأيت أن أجمعهما في كتاب فكان العنوان "أبحاث في الأثر اللغوي والحقول الدلالية - دراسة تطبيقية لنماذج من الشعر"، ويتألف الكتاب من أربعة فصول هي:
الفصل الأول: الأثر اللغوي والنحوي لشعر أبي طالب (عم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم) في المعجمات العربية والكتب النحوية، يتألف من مقدمة وتمهيد ومبحثين، ففي التمهيد عرضت كلاماً موجزاً عن ولادة النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم حمل آمنةُ به، ووفاة والده عبد المطلب وولادة النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم والآيات التي ظهرت بمولده ووفاة أمه وكفالة جده عبد المطلب له وضم أبي طالب للنبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ونسب أبي طالب وحالته الإجتماعية.
