ماذا قدمت الفلسفة من حلول لهذه الإشكالية ؟ التفسيرات الضبابية أم صور القداديس والصلوات ، التي لا يعنيها إذا ما كان من تتلى عليه قد مات كالحيوانات أم كالبشر ؟ وباستعارة من نيكوس كزنتزاكي : ماذا ستعني القداديس والصلوات والتابوت المنجد بالحرير عندما ينهار الكيان الزوربوي ( نسبة إلى إسم بطل روايته زوربا اليوناني ) ؟
إنسان القرن الواحد والعشرين ، والذي فعلاً يعاني من عجز الفلسفة أكثر من الأجيال السابقة ، بات يصرخ : بعد أن صيرني التقدم العلمي روبوطاً مقموعاً في النهار ، وإلى عود قصب فارغ في الليل ، وأبيت كل ليلة مهدداً بالكسر ، دعوني أموت كالبشر على حافة نهر ووسط الأشجار لأني بت لا أعرف نفسي ... وأظن أني ولدت لكي أعرفها أكثر من كل شيء ... ببساطة لأني أحتاجها أكثر من الهاتف النقال والطيارة والسيارة وناطحة السحاب وأنظمة المراقبة الحديثة وأحدث الخرائط ، لأني سأموت فيها !
