ويضم الكتاب اربعة عشر فصلاً, تبدأ بالخلية من حيث البناء الكيميائى والمكونات, ثم تحلل فى أربعة فصول متتالية مفاهيم وعمليات الغذاء والطاقة والأحتياجات الإنسانية من الطعام والمهضم والامتصاص... يكمل الكتاب رحلته, بعد ذلك, فى الفصل السادس متناولاً الأيض والتكاثر والنمو, وفى الفصل السابع… الجهاز العضلى والأسس المنظمة لفسيولوجيته, وفى الفصل الثامن... مبينا فى سلاسة التمهيد والانتقال الجهاز التنفسى (الفصل التاسع) وعمليات الأخراج (الفصل العاشر) والجهاز العصبى (الفصل الحادى عشر) والجهاز الدوري (الفصل الثانى عشر)… ثم الجهاز المناعى (الفصل الثالث عشر)… ثم يختتم الكتاب رحلته المثيرة عبر أجهزة الجسم, مركزاً على الجهاز- العمدة- إن صح التعبير, وهو جهاز الغدد الصماء, مبينا أهميتها وأنواعها...
وقد افرد الكتاب- مثلما فى بقية كتب السلسلة- ثبتاً بالمصطلحات العلمية من اللغة العربية الى اللغة الانجليزية, وكذلك من اللغة الانجليزية الى اللغة العربية, لينوه الى اهم المفردات والمصطلحات التى تناولتها الدراسة بالشرح والتحليل.
