تعتبر حملة طارق بن زياد على الأندلس حدثاً تاريخياً هاماً، حيث استطاع العرب أيام الدولة الأموية، وفي عهد ولاية موسى بن نصير على إفريقية أن يوجهوا حملة بقيادة طارق بن زياد وكان والياً على طنجة مدينة من المدن المتصلة ببر القيروان في أقصى المغرب بينها وبين الأندلس فيما يقابلها خليج من البحر يعرف بالزقاق وبالمجاز، رتبه فيها موسى بن نصير أمير القيروان.
قيل أن مروان بن موسى خلف طارقاً على العساكر وانصرف إلى أبيه لأمر عرض له، فعبر طارق البحر إلى الأندلس من جهة مجاز الخضراء منتهزاً لفرصة مكنته بأن يدخل الجزيرة.
لقد استملت هذه الدراسة لموضوع "حملة طارق بن زياد" على مقدمة وعلى فصلين رئيسيين وخاتمة.
الفصل الأول يبحث في فتح الأندلس، ويهدف إلى دراسة دوافع الفتح، والتوجه للفتح وبداية المعركة.
أما الفصل الثاني يبحث في انتصار المسلمين، وفيه نتناول المعركة الفاصلة، عوامل انتصار المسلمين، ونتيجة المعركة.
