كان بحثي للشعر المسرحي أن المسرح الشعري من ناحيته الشعرية جديدا في بابه كل الجدة ومما يزيد في جدته ، ويؤكد أصالته وابتكاره أنني قمت ببحث المسرحيات كلها علي هذا الأساس ، ومن بينها مسرحيتان لم يبحثا مطلقا قبل هذا البحث ، وهما " قيصر" ، " وزهره".
هذا وقد اقتصرت في بحثي علي الجوانب التي توضح لنا قيمة هذا الشعر الفنية ، وقدرة الشاعر علي تطويع الشعر الغنائي المنظوم أو التقليدي كما يجب أن - يسميه البعض - للأصول للقواعد المسرحية ، ومدي متابعته للتطور الدائم في المسرح العالمي ووقوفه علي الجديد فيه ، واتصاله المستمر بحركة الفن التمثيلي ومدارسه وانعكاس كل ذلك علي مسرحه ، ثم التعرف علي مدي ما حققه من نجاح في هذا الصدد .
