يعمل مديراً لإدارة التفتيش الفني بهيئة تعاونيات البناء والإسكان بمدينة نصر.
عضو اتحاد الكتاب بمصر, ومجلس إدارة ندوة شعراء العروبة, وسكرتير جمعية العقاد الأدبية.
نشر أعماله في العديد من الصحف والمجلات المصرية والعربية.
دواوينه الشعرية: نقوش على شفتين 1985 - قدمت للحب استقالة 1991 - لولاي ماكنت أنثى 1993 - صائدة القلوب 1995.

الكتاب أشبه بباقة عطور فواحة، عمد المؤلف ببراعة إلى أن يقسم كتابه إلى عطور يشدو شذاها بين مروج السطور ورياحين الكلمات، تتشكل قنينة عطر الكتاب من خمسة أنواع متباينة منها، تجمع بين إيقاع الزمن واقتباس الماضي يدلف في الحاضر بثوب قشيب، ويرسم عطر الفكاهة - ثاني العطور - بسمة تؤكد تواصل الأزمان ودور الفكاهة في إثراء وجدان البشر، مستشهدًا بما يرد في عطر التاريخ متراوحة من قاهرة 1919م وحلوان مدينة الأمراء وسائح مسجد الزيتونة.. ثم يبرز عطر الشعر والشعراء جامعًا بين أمير الشعراء وكريمة الشاعر حافظ ونزار قباني، ويختتم الكتاب أريجه بعطر الفن والسياسة، إنك تكاد تستشعر نسائم هذه العطور، وأنت تقرأ هذه السطور، وكأنك تسير بين تلك الأماكن، وتقابل هؤلاء الأشخاص.
