وإستناداً إلى هذه الميزة التي شغلتنا، وإيماناً منا ورغبتنا الصادقة والجادة في إحياء تراثنا العربي، بإزاحة ستار الخفية عن الشعر المغمور في طيات النسيان أو المجهول، وقع اختيارنا على شعر ابن الجوزي، محاولين إبراز سماته وخصائصه الفنية، ومنطلقين في تعاملنا مع شعره إنطلاقه أسلوبية، لأنها تتفرد بالنصوص الشعرية لإستجلاء معالمها وخباياها الفنية ووضعها على طاولة المعلوم المكشوف.
