كيفَ استطاعتْ روحٌ حلتْ في ذلكَ الرهطِ النافقِ من القماشِ أن تكونَ بمثل ذلكَ اللمعان الصلب تماماً، وغير الممسوس؟ بوبي ساندز، لمن لا يجيد الأمل وله أن يتوقف عن القراءةِ هنا هذه اللحظةِ، صنعَ أسطورةً على أوراقِ لفافاتِ السجائرِ ومناديل الحَمَّام وهربها خارجَ السجن ليهتدي بها المتعثرون في الإرادة أينما وجدوا وأينما وجد الأباطرة المتغطرسون، حملتْ اللفافاتُ والمناديلُ النثر والشعر الذين صمدا بعد رجعةِ الجسدِ إلى حيثُ الطيورِ والمطرِ وأشلاء السماء.
ولِد في سجنِ، عاشَ في سجنِ وماتَ في سجنٍ أيضاً، بعد ستٍ وستين يوماً من الإضراب عن الطعام، يكون بوبي ساندز أول من يموت من أصل عشرة سجنا سياسيين ماتوا بعده بساعاتٍ وذلكَ في صبيحةٍ مريرةٍ في الخامس من أيار/ مايو لعام 1981 في العنبر المشؤوم "هتش" في سجن "لونغ كِش" المركزي عن سبعٍ وعشرينَ عاماً.
بهدوء وتصميم، كتب ساندز الأحداث العادية في السجن قبل أن يكتب الأهوالَ الكبرى، كتبَ كمن يحاول أن يسجلَّ المرحلة والموقف معاً دون أن يغلب أحدهما على الآخر؛ كتب بصفاءٍ باهرٍ دونَ أي تعالٍ حِرَفي ربما لم يستطع أن يناله أصلاً.
هنا ترجمة خائفةً لنصوص ساندز العذبة، يرتكبها سوري مغترب قسراً في بريطانيا، سخرية قَدر؟ أم مشيئة جهنمية؟ يا إلهي مرة أخرى أخيرة، كل هذا القهر كثير، بل وكثير جداً.
