كتب الشيخ الأكبر كتاب "أيّام الشأن" الذي سنقدّم شرحاً له في هذه الأوراق، وهو في حدود علمي - شرح غير مسبوق.
وفي هذا الكتاب أراد الشيخ إعطاء مرجعية وصبغة قرآنية لتعاليم فلكية موجودة ضمن علم الفلك التراثي كما هو مفصّل في كتبه التي كانت شائعة في المدارس الإسلامية وفي معاهد العلوم التراثية عند الأمم الأخرى منذ آلاف السنين كما سنذكره لاحقاً.
وهذا ما أشار إليه الشيخ في آخر هذا الكتاب بقوله أن أيام التكوير يعلمها كافة الناس، ثم قال: "وأيام السلخ يعرفها العارفون، وأيّام الإيلاج يعلمها العلماء الحكماء وارثوا الأنبياء - صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين"... وهؤلاء العارفون والحكماء وُجدوا في جُلّ الأمم منذ فجر التاريخ الإنساني.
ونشير إلى كتاب آخر من كتب الشيخ، فصل فيه بإسهاب أسرار الطهارة والصلوات، وقسمه الثاني يتعلق بالصلوات اليومية وتناسبها مع أفلاك الكواكب السماوية السبعة، وتوجد فيه معطيات نفيسة مكمّلة ومفصّلة لكتاب "أيام الشأن" وهو كتاب "تنزل الأملاك من عالم الأرواح إلى عالم الأفلاك"... وله عنوان آخر هو: التنزلات الموصلية" لأن الشيخ كتبه في مدينة الموصل سنة 601هـ.
