Book Description
"علم التربية العام" هو العلم الذي يهتم بالمبادئ والمعايير المشتركة بين جميع المناشط والتي تظهر فيها الظواهر التربوية وصولاً إلى قوانين ونظريات تنظيم العملية التعليمية. وهدف هذا العلم هو التحكم في التربية وتوجيهها لصالح الإنسان بالشكل الذي يؤدي إلى تحقيق تكوين هذا الإنسان تكويناً يراعي مصلحة الفرد والمجتمع. وفي هذا الإطار جاء هذا الكتاب الذي هو الأول في سلسلة "علم التربية العام" المكونة من ثلاثة أجزاء.
وقد ضمّ هذا الجزء خمسة فصول: كُرس الفصل الأول لإلقاء الضوء على مفهوم علم التربية وموضوعه الذي حدده المؤلفان بالتربية نفسها، ثم تطرقا إلى ميدانه وبينا أنه ميدان واسع يشمل الظواهر التربوية والتعليمية كافة، ثم حددا هدفه، وبينا علاقاته بالعلوم الأخرى، موضحين الاعتماد المتبادل بين هذين الطرفين ثم تطرقا إلى فروع هذا العلم...
تناول الفصل الثاني تطور معنى التربية والأهداف والمناهج عبر العصور، أما الفصل الثالث فقد كُرس للأهداف التعليمية-التربوية، وقد عولجت في هذا الفصل العديد من المفاهيم والأفكار التي كثر الجدل حولها وحاول المؤلفان اقتراح الحلول اللازمة لحسم هذا الجدل. ومن بين ما عولج هنا مفاهيم الأهداف التربوية-التعليمية، وأهمية تحديدها إضافة إلى توضيح مواصفات التربية كالتعريف بين علم التربية والتربية.
وكُرس الفصل الخامس للحديث عن بعض أعلام علم التربية الذين تمّ اختيارهم بناءً على الأدوار الهامة التي حققوها في هذا الميدان وقد حاول المؤلفان أن لا يركزا في الاختيار على مرحلة تاريخية معينة بل حاولا جهد الإمكان أن تكون قائمة هؤلاء الأعلام ممثلة للتيارات والاتجاهات التربوية المختلفة التي سادت عبر العصور. وقد تمّ اختيار عشرة أعلام هم "القابسي"، و"الغزالي"، و"ابن خلدون" و"كومينيوس"، و"روسو"، و"بستالونزي وفروبل"، و"هربرت"، و"سبنسر"، و"مدام منتسوري"، و"ديوي".
