قال الذهبي في «السير» :
ابْنُ المُقَرِّبِ أَحْمَدُ بنُ المُقَرِّبِ بنِ الحُسَيْنِ الكَرْخِيُّ
الشَّيْخُ الجَلِيْلُ، الثِّقَةُ، المُسْنِدُ، أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بنُ المُقَرِّبِ بنِ الحُسَيْنِ بنِ الحَسَنِ البَغْدَادِيُّ، الكَرْخِيُّ.
شيخ، دَيِّن، كَيِّسٌ، مُتودِّد، صَحِيْح السَّمَاع.
سَمِعَ: طِرَاداً الزَّيْنَبِيَّ، وَابْنَ طَلْحَةَ النِّعَالِيَّ، وَابْنَ سَوَّارٍ.
وَعَنْهُ: السَّمْعَانِيُّ، وَابْنُ الجَوْزِيِّ، وَعَبْدُ الغَنِيِّ، وَالمُوفَّقُ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّطِيْفِ القُبَّيْطِيُّ، وَابْنُ الخَازِنِ، وَالحُسَيْن بن رَئِيْس الرُّؤسَاء، وَخَلْق.
وَتَلاَ بِالسَّبْع، وَتَفَقَّهَ، وَنسخ الأَجزَاء، وَلَهُ أُصُوْل حَسَنَة.
مَاتَ: فِي ذِي الحِجَّةِ، سَنَةَ ثَلاَثٍ وَسِتِّيْنَ وَخَمْسِ مائَةٍ.
Book Description
ابن المقرب هو الأمير جمال الدين علي بن مقرب بن منصور بن مقرب بن محمد العيوني البحراني الذي يتحدر من أشرف الأنساب حياه الله بحس الخلق وكمال النفس والقدرة على نظم الشعر قبال بلوغه حتى أنه فاق أقرانه وبرز عليهم في الشعر وأغلب شعره يدور حول تعديد مناقبه ومدح عشيرته والتغني بأمجادها ويعكس شعره ما بلغه الشعر الإحسائي من مستوى فني راقٍ.
وقد كان اعتماد المحققين لإخراج هذا الديوان بهذا الشكل على أكثر من عشرين نسخة مخطوطة منها ست نسخ مشروح ومخطوطة المكتبة الرضوية المشروحة هي أصل هذه الطبعة وقد سار المحققون في تحقيقهم لهذا الديوان وفق ضوابط التزموا فيها جانب الدقة والأمانة التي تفرضها عملية التحقيق والتوثيق. حيث تمت الإشارة إلى الزيادات الواردة في النسخ الأخرى وتم التحقق من صحة الألفاظ لغوياً، وضبطك الكلمات التي تحتاج إلى ذلك بالشكل، وقاموا بشرح الألفاظ الصعبة في شعر الشاعر وتصحيح الكلمات المستعصية بالمقابل على بقية النسخ.
وعمد المحققون إلى وضع علامات الترقيم وأساسيات الكتابة العربية م فواصل ونقاط وتوقف وعلامات التنصيص والاستفهام والتعجب وغير ذلك. إضافة إلى توثيق الآيات والأحاديث والأمثال والأشعار الواردة في الأصل. وإرجاع الأخبار التاريخية والقصص الواردة في الأصول والتعريف بالمواقع الجغرافية والأعلام، وتوضيح ما يلبس فهمه من كلام الشارح. وأخيراً وضع فهارس فنية خاصة بالآيات القرآنية والأحاديث الشريفة. وللأشعار وللأمثال وفهرساً عاماً للأعلام الواردة في الأصل.
