هذا الشرح مدرسي مختصر لعقيدة ابن أبي زيد القيرواني الشهير بــ "المقدمة" لناظمها الإمام المحقق المدفق، والحافظ المتقن أبي محمد عبد الله بن أبي زيد القيرواني المتوفي سنة 386من الهجرة، وهي عقيدة شائعة الذكر، رفيعة الشأن، عذبه الألفاظ، سهلة الحفظ، لها مكانة عالمية، ومنزلة رفيعة عند أهل العلم في قديم الزمان وحديثه، وقد تواتر ذكرها عن جم غفير من علماء السنة من تلاميذ ابن أبي زيد، وتناولها غير واحد من أهل العلم بالشرح، وقد سميت هذا الشرح "إرشاد الساري بشرح مقدمة ابن أبي زيد القيرواني"، وهو جهد المقل، وبضاعة الضعيف المقصر.
