أنتهج هذا الكتاب إستعراض وتحليل للقواعد القانونية الدولية التي تحكم موضوع الإعتراف بالدولة.
يهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل الإعتراف من النواحي القانونية بإعتباره عملاً من أعمال السيادة، وتحديد موقف القانون الدولي منه، وقد حاولنا وضع أطار قانوني عام لموضوع الإعتراف يقوم على أسس علمية بعيداً عن المصالح السياسية والإقتصادية الضيقة، وإلى بيان الإعتراف بالدولة من النواحي القانونية بإعتباره عملاً من أعمال السيادة، وتحديد موقف القانون التقليدي والمعاصر منه، كما يهدف أيضاً إلى سد الفجوة الموجودة في المكتبة القانونية العربية فيما يخص مسألة الإعتراف بالدولة في القانون الدولي.
