يلاحظ من يتتبع تطورات البحث اللساني خلال النصف الأخير من القرن الماضي، أن جل الدراسات العلمية في مجاله، سعت بشكل أو بآخر إلى إيجاد تعليل فلسفي لطبيعة النص (إنتاجه وبناؤه وترتيبه ومدى قراءته وإستقباله)، وهو تعليل ينبى على أساس تصور خاص، يتكون إلى حد ما من أطراف عملية التواصل وفاعليتها الإنتاجية، التي يجدها القارئ قد استفادت بشكل كبير من نتائج أبحاث العالم الألسني "فرديناند دوسوسير" (Saussure F.de) ومن جاء بعده.
ولكون النص عالماً تنتجه اللغة، فقد اهتمت به العديد من المدارس اللسانية في إطار بناء الكلام، وكيفية إتيانه على الشاكلة النهائية؛ وكان لا بد له أن يرث هذا الوصف والتحليل مع أواخر الستينيات، فارتضته "لسانيات النص"، إتجاهاً متداخل الإختصاصات، موضوعه الشرعي والوحيد هو "النص".
وعليه تسعى لسانيات النص بموضوعاته المختلفة إلى إقامة حوار مع البناء النصي؛ بإعتبار النص وسيطاً يحيل إلى وعي / ذاكرة المنتج، من جهة، كما يكشف عن وعي قارئه وذاكرته، من جهة أخرى؛ وهو أمر يدفعنا إلى القول بأن النص في هذه العملية لا يتشكل إلا بعمليات الإرتداد والإحالة، وفق منطق النصية ومعاييرها وعلى أساس التماسك وآلياته.
وقد سعت هذه الدراسة إلى إثارة بعض القضايا التي ولدتها اللسانيات الحديثة في مجال دراسة النص بأبعاده اللغوية الجمالية الشعرية، من خلال مطارحات منهجية وقضايا نظرية وممارسات إجرائية، تجلت في دراسات تجاوزت مستوى الجملة - الذي وسم بالضيق - إلى مستوى نص أرحب بأبعاده المختلفة وعناصره المتفاعلة في علاقته بالمنتج والقارئ، وفي إرتباطه بالبناء الكلي للرسالة ومعطياتها الدلالية ومعرفتها الخلفية والبلاغية.
