على غير عادتي استيقظت بنشاط و حيوية غير طبيعيين ، فقط أريد ارتداء أجمل ما لديّ و الخروج للعالم سريعًا ، كأنني أنتظر مفاجأة هناك. رغم الضباب الذي استحوذ على الطرقات وأخفى المباني بين أحضانه ، وبرك السباحة العشوائية التي صنعها المطر ، كان الطقس أعظم من أن يوصف ، كَ لوحة فنية لا تستطع فعل شيء أمام حضرتها سوى الالتزام بالصمت والتمتع باختلاف ألوانها. تابعت السير حتى وصلت محطة القطار الذي من حسن حظي أنه لم ينطلق بعد و كأن القدر كان ينتظر مجيئي ! لأول مرة أرى الحظ والقدر يجتمعان سويةً و يرتبان لي موعدًا غير مخطط له بحجز ذلك المقعد إلى جانبه كأن كل قوى العالم تعاونت على طاولة سعادتي لتجعل ذلك الصباح نهاية لكل أمر تعيس في حياتي. جلست بجاورهِ ، وابتساماته أفضل فطور تناولته من يوم ولادتي
