يطلق الكاتب ينارداغ وغيره من الباحثين الأتراك مصطلح "الجمهوريات الأولى" على النظم الجمهورية في الشرق الأوسط جميعها التي تأسست بعد الإستقلال واعتمدت مبدأ العلمانية بغضّ النظر عن حجم ونسبة هذه العلمانية وتبنّي الفكر الحداثوي.
اعتمدت الإمبريالية العالمية على الإسلام الراديكالي (الإخوان المسلمين) لمواجهة الحركات التحررية في الشرق من جهة ومواجهة المدّ الشيوعي ومحاصرة الإتحاد السوفييتي من خلال ما أطلق عليه مصطلح الحزام الأخضر.
ويعد إنهيار الإتحاد السوفييتي بدا الرأسمال العالمي بالتخلص من الإسلام الراديكالي بإفتعاله تفجيرات الحادي عشر من أيلول عام 2011، وكان قد بدأ بتأسيس ما يسمى الإسلام المعتدل من خلال غراهام فوللر مدير ملف تركيا والشرق الأوسط في وكالة الإستخبارات المركزية الأمريكية، وذلك بلبرلة الإسلام بما يتناسب مع المصالح الرأسمالية من جهة وأيديولوجية للنظم السياسية التي خططوا لفرضها على دول الشرق العلمانية بعد ما يُسمى بالربيع العربي وتفكيك المؤسسات الجمهورية في الدول المذكورة.
يبحث هذا الكتاب كيفية تفكيك البنى والمؤسسات الجمهورية في تركيا على يد رجب طيب أردوغان وحزب العدالة والتنمية بالشراكة مع تنظيم فتح الله غولن كي تكون نموذجاً سياسياً للدول التي ستكون هدفاً لما يُسمى الربيع العربي.
