قد استطاع الدكتور طه بن علي بن سريح التونسي الذي صال قلمه وجال في البحث والتحقيق في الحديث بدرجة أولى العثور على هذا المخطوط فصحّ منه العزم على القيام بتحقيقه خدمةً للحديث من أجل إضافة لبنة في صرح الثقافة الإسلامية، وقد تعاون مشكوراً مع وحدة بحث الحديث والسيرة بجامعة الزيتونة لإنجاز أول القطر... والأستاذ بو سريح المعروف بأبحاثه وتحقيقاته منذ وقت ليس بالقصير قام بدراسة وتحقيق لهذا المخطوط المذكور جاعلاً إيّاه في جزءين: الجزء الأوّل هو عبارة عن دراسة: عرّف فيها بالكتاب من حيث الصحّة وعنوانه ومؤلّفه، وشيوخ هذا الأخير وتلاميذه ورحلاته وشخصيّته العلمية، كما يراها معاصرون له ومتأخّرون عنه، ولاحظ المحقق في دراسته تأثّر المؤلف في تخطيط وتنظيم الكتاب بعَلَمين هما: الإمام القابسيّ من خلال (الملخّص) وخاصة الحاكم النّيسابوري في مؤلّفه (معرفة علوم الحديث).
ويُعتبر كتاب أبي عمرو الدّاني نموذجاً لتأليف المحدِّثين الأندلسيين والمغاربة، كما يبرز التواصل بين علماء المسلمين المشارقة والمغاربة، وكشف لنا المحقّق عمق الفهم وإستقلال الرأي عند أبي عمرو الدّاني، الّذي يكاد يكون موسوعة بالرغم من إخراجه لهذا الكتاب بشكل موجز وإن اكتنز معلومات قيّمة.
وقام الدكتور بوسريح في الجزء الدّراسي إلى جانب ما سبق ذكره بوصف المخطوط من حيث حالته ونوعية خطّه وعدد صفحاته وأسطر كلّ صفحة أو لوحة.
وفي الجزء المتعلّق بالتحقيق الذي اعتمد فيه على نسخة وحيدة لم يعثر على غيرها، طبّق فيه منهجية البحث العلمي في تحقيق المخطوطات، فنسخ المخطوط وفقاً لقواعد الإملاء الحديثة، وشكل النصوص الحديثية والآثار، وضبط أسماء الرّجال، وخرَّج الأحاديث، وترجم لشيوخ المؤلف وعرّف رجالَ أسانيده كما وضع نماذج من صور للمخطوط.
إنّ هذا التحقيق الذي يمثِّل حلقة من حلقات رفع الغبار عن تراثنا الثريّ، وجعل الباحثين يكرعون من النبع مباشرة ولا يكونون فقط عالة على المتأخرين، هو عمل يستحقّ التقدير، ولا يسعنا إلّا أن نقول: بارك الله تعالى في قلم الأستاذ بوسريح وجهوده في خدمة الحديث النبويّ، وإلى المزيد من التعاون المثمر بينه وبين وحدة بحث الحديث والسّيرة من أجل العلم عامة ومادتي الحديث والسيرة خاصة، والأمل أن يُثري هذا الكتاب المكتبة الإسلامية وأن ينفع به قارئه.
