وتتطرق الدراسة إلى الأدوار الأخرى التي يقوم بها حزب الله في المنطقة، مثل المشاركة مع الحرس الثوري الإيراني في قمع التظاهرات الإيرانية الوطنية، و يركز الكاتب على تناقضات السياسة التي ربما لا تبدو ظاهرة للوهلة الأولى، مثل تلقي عناصر من حركة حماس الفلسطينية تدريبات عسكرية على يد خبراء إيرانيين، جنبًا إلى جنب مع ميلشيات شيعية عراقية تتأهب لدخول العراق من أجل تصفية الوجود السني الفلسطيني هناك!
وفي الملف الايراني نرى حقيقية التنسيق الإيراني الأمريكي في ملفات عدة تخص الاحتلال الغربي في أفغانستان والعراق، بالإضافة إلى حقيقة الدور الغربي من عدمه في انتفاضة 2009 الإيرانية، وهي الثورة التي لم تنال حقها في العمل البحثي السياسي، وحقيقة التعاون الاستخباري بين إسرائيل وعناصر لبنانية متحالفة مع المقاومة اللبنانية.
هذه الدراسة غير التقليدية أو الاعتيادية.. تعتبر قراءة هادئة لشرق أوسط ملتهب، تدرس ما جرى خلف الستار لمدة أربعة عقود، عبر الوثائق والمراجع النادرة والأصلية، من أجل صورة أشمل للصراعات الأقليمية التي مر بها العالم العربي والإسلامي.
