سواء كنتَ مسيحيًّا أو مسلمًا، وسواء كنتِ مسلمة أو مسيحية، فلا تجعل في القلب والفكر والسلوك مكانًا للتعصب والكراهية والرفض.. إن الفروق بين المسيحية والإسلام أقل مما نظن، والاختلاف بينهما لا يبرر العداوة والقتل والتكفير. لقد أوصى الإسلام بأهل الكتاب، والسيد المسيح أوصانا بالصلاة حتى من أجل الذين يسيئون إلينا. والإسلام لا يسيء إلى المسيحية بل يكرمها حتى وإن رأى البعض ممن يدّعون الإسلام غير ذلك، واعتبروا أن الإساءة إلى المسيحيين حلالًا فأطلقوا عليهم صفات غير كريمة.
والسيد المسيح قال: «من ليس علينا فهو معنا». والمسلم الذي يعرف حقيقة عقيدته ليس معاديًا للمسيحية أو المسيحيين حتى ولو ظن بعض المسيحيين ذلك. إن تكفير المسيحيين أو تحليل سفك دمائهم ليس في الإسلام. ونشر العقيدة بالعنف لا مكان له في المسيحية. إن أمورًا كثيرة ومبادئ عدة تجمع بين العقيدتين. إن ما يجمع بينهما أكثر مما يفرق، والتقارب الذي يمكن أن يسود بينهما لا يدركه كثيرون من الطرفين. هؤلاء الذين لا يعرفونه اتخذوا مواقف معادية أو تصادمية، تفاقمت نتائجها وجاءت بأضرار بالغة وخسائر لا تفرق بين الضحايا من الجانبين.
