صدرت له أيضا بعض الترجمات لكتب أدبية ونقدية ونظرية أساسية، لكل من رولان بارت وميخائيل باختين وجان جنيه ولوكليزيو وغيرهم، كما ترجم لغيرهم العديد من النصوص الأساسية في مجالات مختلفة، كم عرفت بعض نصوصه الأدبية أيضا طريقها إلى الترجمة إلى بعض اللغات الأجنبية.
حصل على جائزة المغرب للكتاب، في صنف الدراسات الأدبية، عن كتابه النقدي «فضاءات روائية».

ليس المقصود بـ«الذات» في هذا السياق، ذاتَ الفرد الضيقة، المنحصرة في هموم وتفاصيل العادات الشخصية، وإنما نعني بها الذات في مجموع مكوناتها للفرد، ماديا ونفسيا، والأسئلة التي تشغله في حياته وصراعاته مع مؤسسات المجتمع ومع كل ما يجثم على حريته ليعوق الذات عن تحقيق تطلعاتها.
وعندما نتحدث عن تخييل المجتمع والتاريخ، نقصد ضمنيا أن هناك روايات تتقصّدُ استيحاء المجتمع والتاريخ لتكشف عناصر وملامح لامرئية عند الوهلة الأولى، وفي الآن نفسه تجترح سيرورة التحويل والتغيير، إذ تسلط الضوء على أسئلةٍ تفرزها الصراعاتُ المجتمعية أوْ يُبلورها جريانُ التاريخ على المدى القصير والبعيد.
