وجدتُ خلال هذه الدراسة والتدريس والتأليف أهميةَ كتاب "المنظومة الرحبية" التي كُنّا ندرسها في المرحلة الإعدادية والثانوية، ونحفظُ أبياتها عن ظهر قلبٍ، لأنّها ع رضت أحكامَ الفرائض في أرجوزةٍ مبسّطة، ونظمٍ واضحٍ وسهل، ولذلك شاعت وانتشرت طوال عشرة قرون، وكانت مقصد الطلبة والعلماء، ووُضعتْ عليها الشروحُ الكثيرة، والحواشي العديدة، ومن أشهر شروحها "شرح سبط المارديني" رحمه الله تعالى فأردت تحقيقه على نسخٍ خطّيةٍ، للمساهمة في نشرها، ووضعها بين يدي الطلبة والباحثين والعلماء.
وجعلت "الرحبية" بأعلى الصفحة مع الضبطِ والشكلِ، وتحتها "شرح سبط المارديني"، مع بعض التعليقات، والمقابلات بين نسختين خطيتين للشرح، ومقارنته مع شرح آخرَ وهو "شرح الشنشوري"، المسمى "الفوائد الشنشورية في شرح منظومة الرحبية" على نسختين خطيتين أيضاً، ووضعتُ بعضَ العناوين الرئيسة ضِمْنَ حاصرتين لتمييزها والإشارة إلى كونها مضافة.
وأضفتُ إلى ذلك وضعَ المسائل في أسفلِ الصفحات، لتكونَ توضيحاً للطالب، وإرشاداً له في تنظيم المسائل، وتدرباً على حلّها، والإستعانة بها على الحفظ والتركيز.
