ويبقى حليحل مثالاً للكاتب الملتزم، لكنه يمارس لعبة الإلتزام بعفوية الفنان ورعونته وعربدته.
إن إصرار حليحل على محلّيته لا يكسبه واقعية وإلتصاقاً بزمكانية الأحداث والشخوص فحسب، بل تخطو هذه المجموعة إلى مسارب موغلة في التجريب القصصي ليتعانق الواقع مع الحلم والممكن مع المستحيل والنهائي مع اللانهائي عبر شخوص بيكارسكية تذكّرنا بأدب القرون الوسطى.
وهذا يستدعي من الناقد شحذ أدواته النقدية، على أقل تقدير، إن لم يكن تغييرها ليتعامل مع نص حاذق يبدو مفرطاً في الجدية والهزل معاً.
