لقد كان الشهيد القائد حاضرًا في تلك المرحلة وحده، يرى الانهيارات في شتّى المجالات أمام الاستكبار الأميركي، مستشعرًا المسؤوليّة، حيث بدأ خطابه مع عامّة الناس بلغته البسيطة في مبانيها، العميقة في معانيها، مستهديًا نهج الأنبياء، مقتديًا سبيل الصالحين، غير ناكلٍ عن قدم، ولا واهٍ في عزم.
