ويبحث عن صحة مدح الفرزدق لزين العابدين عليه السلام وما قيل في عدد الأبيات والقائلين والممدوحين الذين تداخلت أسماؤهم وأبياتهم وحوادثهم بعضها في بعض من القرن الثالث إلى القرن العاشر بحثاً علمياً رائع الدقة والإحاطة والتأني دالاً على إيثاره الحق على كل ما عداه عن وعي وبصيرة تامين.
