ومرّة، عند هبوطه إلى الأرض سالماً، كان غانماً بخيط طويل، ممتدّ، يربط طرفه بأصبعه، وفي طرفه الآخر كانت غيمة بيضاء كبيرة، معلّقة في السماء، تركض وراءه، ويتبدّل شكلها.
تتمدّد مرّة وتتطاول، وتنطوي أخرى، تلتف على نفسها، تأخذ شكل كرة، أو فراشة، أو زهرة، ودائماً كانت تلحقه، وتلاحقه، وهو يصرخ ما هي طائرتي الورقية، هيا نلهو، هيا نلعب، هيا نطير.
وترافقه الفراشات الملوّنة، ويتدافع الأطفال وراءه، يحاولون الإمساك بطرف الخيط، واللّحاق به، وعيونهم معلّقة في الغيم، رؤوسهم تتطاول تكاد تصل إليها، أياديهم تشدّهم نحو العلى، نحو الغيم، إلى السماء، وليس من سقف لها، ليس من حدود تقف أمامهم، خلف لهوهم، وأحلامهم طائرة ورقية صنعها سامي من غيمة.
