كان يتصادف أن تستطيع النظر يمينا وانت تسير فى الشارع الخلفى مرة كل بضع سنوات تلمح طرف البيت من الحارة الجانبية وتفتش عن عربات الكارو المتراصة بجوار سور المصنع الخلفى أو الخليل يأكل وهو مربوط على " الطوالة" الخشبية عن شبح " عويرة " وجوال الخيش المغبر بالدقيق على كتفة الأيسر أو صوت سباب زهرة أو عنايات أو كليهما معا .. لحظات خاطفة تأخذ شكل الكوابيس تكتم انفاسك عندما تتخيل انهم يمكن ان يكونوا أحياء أنهم يمكنهم ثانية ان يجيشوا جيوشا ويطلقوا قوالب الطوب فى الهواء ويعرف الشوم طريقة لرؤوس الرجال وأجساد النساء أن يندغم صراخ الأطفال ولون الدماء وآهات الكبار فى لحظات تبادل الضرب وألا تغادرك لوحة العنف عند الاشتباك أن تتكوم تحت سرير حديدى أسود فى غرفة صغيرة انتظارا لموت قادم لا محالة لقد فتشوا عنك طويلا وأن أحدهم كان يتجول حول بيت عملك لشهور طويلة وأشقاء زهرة العربجية يراقبوا بيت جدتك القريب من " دحديرة" صبرى المجاورة للسيد البدوى ما الذى ذكرك بهم بعد مرور خمسة وثلاثين عاما؟ ... ومن الذى انقذك؟
