يأتي هذا الكتاب ضمن سلسلة "رسائل ترشيد الصحوة" وهو يتناول التربية السياسية عند الإمام حسن البنا، وقد قسمت منهجية الدراسة على جملة من العناصر جاءت على الشكل التالي:
1- التعرف على أقوال الإمام من مجموع رسائله وهي منشورة مجتمعة، إضافة إلى ما كتب خارج هذه الرسائل، مما نشر في المجلات والصحف.
2 - المقارنة بين أقوال الإمام بعضها ببعض، ما بين رسالة وأخرى، لمعرفة ما إذا كان بين بعضها وبعض: شيء من التعارض، أو التباين، في النظر والاجتهاد، نتيجة تغيّر الظروف أو تغير الفكر، وتجدد المعلومات أو غير ذلك. وكذلك المقارنة بين آراء الأستاذ وآراء غيره من المجددين والمصلحين إذا اقتضى الأمر.
3 - النقد العلمي الموضوعي الهادئ لبعض آراء الإمام.
