هذا الكتاب يعالج ظاهرة النبر في القرآن الكريم، وهي من الظواهر الشائكة؛ لتعلقها بالجانب الأدائي، وتتمثل خطورة هذه الظاهرة في أن تشكيل الكلمات يكون صحيحًا كما أن أحكام التجويد قد تكون صحيحة كذلك، ولكن أداء الكلمة غير صحيح، فيؤدي إلى آثار سلبية على قدر من الخطورة في جميع مستويات اللغة.
وقد وفق الله صاحب هذه الدراسة إلى استنباط مجموعة من الصيغ التي تحدد مواضع النبر ومواضع عدم النبر في الكلام، وقد أطلق عليها مصطلح (الميزان النبري)، وأهم ما يميز هذا الميزان يسره بحيث يستطيع الطفل الصغير تطبيقه على الأداء القرآني، وبه يتجنب ما يقع فيه كثير من القراء من مزالق أدائية نتيجة لوضعهم النبر في غير موضعه.
هذا وقد كشف البحث عن أهم الأسباب الخارجية التي قد تؤدي إلى الوقوع في مزالق النبر وعدمه، تلك الأسباب التي إذا تلاشها الناطق فقد يستقيم أداؤه اللغوي، ويسلم من الانحراف.
كما عرض البحث ما قد يقع فيه الناطق من مزالق أدائية عن طريق النبر السلبي وعدمه على مقاييس القراءة الصحيحة، وقد تبين مدى شناعة هذه المزالق، ووجوب التصدي لها؛ لأن المزالق الأدائية للنبر وعبثها في مستويات اللغة لا يرتضيها أي مقياس من مقاييس القراءة الصحيحة.
