جماعة الخيال The imagination Society: أنشأها الفنان محمود مختار بشارع الأنتيكخانة بالقاهرة عام 1928 ضمت الفنانين من جيل الرواد وفنانين آخرين أجانب مقيمين في مصر، استهدفت بإرساء دعائم فن قومي، وإقامة معارض في قاعة عرض بالمقر الخاص بالجماعة، وندوات ومساجلات هامة عن رؤيتهم لمستقبل الفن في مصر فضلاً عن الحوارات الثقافية.
جماعة الفن الشعبي - القطري The Instinctive Folk Art Society: في عام 1936 تكون إتحاد أساتذة الرسم والأشغال ومجلة الإتحاد الدولي للتربية الفنية، وكان لها دور ريادي في تبني الطليعة في الفن وإلقاء الضوء على قيم التراث عامة والفن الشعبي والفطري وفن الطفل بصفة خاصة.
جماعة الفنانين الخمسة The Five Artists Group: تكونت عام 1962 بتشجيع من سعد الخادم وأبو خليل لطفي، وضمت عبد الحميد الدواخلي - فرغلي عبد الحفيظ - على نبيل وهبة - ونبيل الحسيني ورضا زاهر، أقاموا معرضهم الأول بقصر الثقافة بأسوان بعد رحلة إلى النوبة ضمت رسوماً وكولاجات من وحي هذه الرحلة، واقاموا أربعة معارض أخرى بالقاهرة حتى عام 1968.
