إن مهمة اللغة هى التوصيل ، والرسالة التى تحملها اللغة هى المعنى بكل صوره، ولما كان القرآن رسالة لغوية في المقام الأول، وقد جاء بلسان العرب مخاطبا إياهم بأساليبهم التى عرفوها، كان على علماء المسلمين ان يتبينوا ما تحمله هذه الرسالة ، فبرزوا من كل مكان وفي كل تخصص ، يتوفرون على دراسته والعناية به ، ونشات علوم مختلفة لفهم القرآن الكريم واستباط معانية واحكامه، وفي التأليف النحوي نجد هذا البحث يهدف إلى تبين العلاقة بين الدلالة والتحليل النحوي كما تتبدى في نوعية محددة من الكتب، هى كتب إعراب القرآن ومعانيه في فترة تاريخية محددة من الكتب ، هى كتب إعراب القرآن ومعانية في فترة تاريخية محددة منذ بداية التأليف في هذه الكتب حتى نهاية القرن الرابع الهجري، ويحاول البحث تتبع منهج النحاة من خلال تطبيقه في إعراب القرىن وإبراز مدى الوحدة والتنوع في مواقف النحاة ومحاولة الكشف عما وراء ذلك من دوافع.
