إنهم يروون قصة الأشهرُ الأخيرة التي أمضوها مع الرئيس صدام حسين يحرسونه داخل قصره ويرافقونه إلى مقر محاكمته والأيام والساعات التي سبقت إعدامه. قصص من يومياتهم معه تنم عن التغيير الذي طرأ على الطريقة التي ينظرون من خلالها إلى العدل والعدالة، يتحدثون عن محادثاتهم الغريبة مع الرئيس السابق مرهوب الجانب. صحيح أن تلك المحادثات لم تجعلهم يعتقدون أنه غير مسؤول عن كثير من الأمور الفظيعة التي تنسب إليه، ولكنها جعلتهم يكتشفون جوانب في شخصيته غير تلك التي يسلّط الإعلام الضوء عليها.
