قاموس مصطلحات هندسة السيارات هذا الذي بين يديك عزيزي القارئ هو نتاج جهد متميز قام به المؤلف في محاولة جادة منه لإثراء المكتبة العربية في مجال علوم السيارات، وهو بلا شك إضافة جيدة تيسير على الدارسين، والمتخصصين، والفنيين تعرف المفاهيم الأساسية باللغة الإنجليزية، ومرادفاتها باللغة العربية.
وقد زود هذا القاموس بالعديد من الأشكال التوضيحية التي أختيرت بعناية من أجل زيادة الإيضاح، وربط المصطلحات بما يتعلق بها من مكونات حقيقية للسيارة أو نظم تستخدم فعلياً فيها أو أجزاء تعمل داخل هذه المكونات والنظم.
وتجدر الإشارة أن المؤلف حاول جاهداً إدراج معظم المصطلحات الفنية المستخدمة في مجال علوم وتكنولوجيا السيارات في هذا القاموس، وقد وفق في هذا إلى حد كبير، وأنا على يقين من أنه سيزيد من هذه المصطلحات في الطبعات القادمة للقاموس ليواكب التطور السريع في تكنولوجيا السيارات وصناعتها.
ويتميز القاموس أيضاً بأنه يضم بين دفتيه نبذة عن المكتشفين الأوائل وأسمائهم في مجال علوم السيارات، وكذا معظم الرموز المختصرة للمصطلحات الفنية، ومصطلحات هندسة وميكانيكا السيارات، ومصطلحات أجزاء السيارة الداخلية، والخارجية، والكماليات "الإكسسوارات"، ومصطلحات الأجزاء الميكانيكية للمحرك، وأجهزة نقل الحركة، وكذا مصطلحات الأجزاء الكهربائية والإلكترونية، ومصطلحات هندسة النقل، والطرق والمرور، وكذا مصطلحات العدد والمعدات، والأجهزة المستخدمة في صيانة وإصلاح السيارات، هذا بالإضافة إلى مصطلحات الأصوات الصادرة من السيارة وأجزائها.
فالقاموس يضم بين دفتيه أكثر من 14000 مصطلح وأكثر من 1200 صورة توضيحية مميزة.
