وقد كانت هذه الرسالة رداً على الدعاة المنتسبين إلى السلف بزعمهم من (أنصار السنة). وقد تصدى لهؤلاء كبار علماء الأزهر الذين عرفوا بالعلم العميق، والفهم الواسع الدقيق لكتاب الله سبحانه وسنة رسول صلى الله عليه وسلم.
