يناقش الكاتب «بسكال بونيفاس» فى كتابه «المثقفون المغالطون» أنشطة وأفكار سبعة من المثقفين والإعلاميين الفرنسيين الأكثر شهرة فى فرنسا والعالم الفرانكفونى، وبعضهم معروف على نطاق دولى، يشتركون جميعا فى أنهم صهاينة أو يدورون فى فلك اللوبى الصهيونى الفرنسى، وفى الترويج للسياسات الأمريكية والأطلسية والإسرائيلية؛ وهم الأب الروحى الشهير لـ(الربيع العربى) «برنار هنرى – ليفى» مثقف التزوير الأعظم فى هذا العصر، وفق توصيف الكاتب، و«ألكسندر أدلر»، و«كارولين فورست»، والجزائرى الأصل «محمد سيفاوى» (اسمه الحقيقى جمال شيفونة)، و«تيريز دلبش»، و«فريدريك آنسيل»، و«فرانسوا هيزنبيرج»، و«فيليب فال». يدور الكتاب حول محور أساسى يتعلق بالارتباطات المشبوهة لهؤلاء بالدوائر الأمنية والسياسية وتخليهم عن دور «المثقف النقدى»، بالمعنى السارترى، وتحولهم إلى مرتزقة مهمتهم الأساسية النصب والاحتيال على الرأى العام من خلال الترويج لأكاذيب فى قوالب ثقافية بهدف إعادة تشكيله وقولبته وتوجيهه نحو قناعات أيديولوجية أحادية البعد تذكرنا بمقول «الإنسان ذو البعد الواحد» لـ«هربرت ماركوزى».
