لم يكن أبي سعيداً وهو يراني أواجهه، وأطلب منه الكفّ عن إزعاج جدّي حين يتجادلان في شؤون الماضي، اتّهمني أبي بالغباء وتكرار مقولات جدّي كالببّغاء، قال إنّ الفلسطينيّين لو فعلوا ما يريده جدّي لما عرف قصّتهم أحد، ولاختفوا عن خارطة العالم، سمعه جدّي مرّةً وهو يوجّه هذا الكلام لي.
انتظر إلى أن توجّهت إِلى غرفتي، ثمّ ناداني:
- شو بدّه أبوك؟.
- يريدني ألا أسمع كلامك.
- ليش؟.
- قال إنّ الفلسطينيّين خسروا كلّ شيء، ولم يبق سوى الذكريات، واجبنا هو أن نحافظ على ذاكرتنا وثورتها لأجيالنا القادمة كي يعرف العالم ما جرى.
- وبعدين؟
- ماذا؟
- عرف العالم شو صار، وبعدين؟
لم أعرف كيف أجيبه، أمسك يدي وبدأ يتحدّث بلا توقف.
