التاريخ يفسر السياسة. وللجغرافيا وطأة على التاريخ، والحديث عن التاريخ السياسي للحركة الإسلامية في الأردن لا يخرج من فلك هذه النظرية، لكنّي أجدني مجذوبًا في هذه القراءة السياسيّة، بالإضافة إلى حقائق التاريخ وقوة الجغرافيا السياسيّة الأردنيّة، إلى فلك الاجتماع السياسيّ والدوران في مدارات البيئة الاجتماعيّة المحيطة بجماعة الإخوان المسلمين، وتأثير ثنائيّة الاستقطاب الاجتماعيّ في الأردن على سياساتها المجتمعيّة واتجاهاتها الوطنيّة وتناقضاتها الداخليّة، ويبقى أيضاً لتستقيم القراءة، وجوب النظر للجماعة على أنّها جزء من تنظيم عالميّ يؤثر على خطّها الفكريّ والسياسيّ العام؛ وعلى ذلك ستستعين هذه القراءة السياسيّة لتاريخ الحركة الإسلاميّة في الأردن بهذه الاعتبارات الواقعيّة، لتفسير العلاقة التاريخيّة بين الجماعة والدولة الأردنيّة والعلاقة الاستثنائيّة بين الجماعة وحركة حماس وانعكاساتها على المعادلة الداخليّة الإخوانيّة.
