الدكتور رءوف عبيد أستاذ القانون الجنائي في كلّية الحقوق بجامعة عين شمس أطلق اسمه على واحده من قاعاتها بعد وفاته تقديرا لمكانته العلمية كان له اهتمام خاص بعالم الروح، فاصدر الكتير من المؤلفات الروحية وكان اهمها كتاب "الإنسان روح لاجسد" توفي عام 1989

حرصت على أن أحقق فى هذه الطبعه قدرا أوفر من الربط بين حقائق الروحية من جانب وحقائق العلوم الأخرى من جانب آخر, بالاضافة الى حقائق الاعتقاد الموضعى التى ليست محل خلاف بين المعتقدين مهما أديانهم ومذاهبهم. ومراعيا أن الربط بين العلم والفلسفة والاعتقاد أمر لا غنى عنه للوصول الى أى اقتناع متكامل سليم فى موضوعات الروح. وسأقوم بهذا الربط مستيعنا فيه بأوليات العلوم المسلم بصحتها, فضلا عن حقائق الاعتقاد التى لاتمت بأية صلة الى الخلافات بين المفسرين أو بين المعتقدين.
ولعل هذا الاعتبار كان من أهم العوامل التى دفعتنى الى أن أتحمل راضيا مشقة مواصلة البحث فى موضوع الروح رغم دقته المفرطة, وعناء التوسع فيه رغم مشاغلى الكثيرة. فانى مقتنع تماما بصحة عدد من البحوث الجادة الأمينة فيه, وما تكشفت عنه من حقائق هامة لعل أهونها شأنا يزرى بأخطر ما وصل اليه علم العلماء حتى الآن, وكلها تتضافر فى توكيد هذه الحقيقة الأولية التى عبر عنها الشاعر العربى ببساطة عندما قال "فأنت بالنفس لا بالجسم انسان".
