لم يكن الإنسان فى أى مرحلة من مراحل تاريخه بعيدا عما يمكن اعتباره ممارسة لعملية التفكير والحوار مع الآخر واستخدامها فى التغلب على مشكلات الواقع الذى كان يعيش فيه، وذلك بدءا من العصر البدائى وحتى مجئ الإسلام. فعاشت الإنسانية تطبيقا لما أنتجته قريحة المفكرين والعلماء على مر العصور وهو ما عرف اصطلاحا بالحضارات تلك التى تنوعت بحسب المكان والزمان وتدافعت تطبيقا لسنة الله فى أرضه ولو دفع بحسب المكان والزمان وتدافعت تطبيقا لسنة فى ارضة : ولو دفع الله الناس بعضهم ببعض لفسدت الأرض ولكن الله ذو فضل على العالمين فسنة الله اقتضت ان يكون لبعض الحضارات السؤود الحضارى فى مقابل خمود البعض الآخر وذلك لفترات زمانية محددة ثم تتبدل الأدوار وهكذا مع الأخذ فى الاعتبار أن سنة الله التدافعية أقتضت ايضا لكى تتحقق ان تشكل الحضارة الإنسانية فى مجملها سلسة مشتركة الحلقات بين الأمم بحيث تحمل كل حضارة بين طياتها مبدأ الأخذ من سابقتها والعطاء للاحقتها وبذلك تتحقق منظومة التكامل الإنسانية.
