يتضمن هذا الكتاب ترجمة عربية للنص الكامل الرسمي لمبادئ العقود التجارية الدولية لعام 2004 التي نشرها معهد "يونيدروا". وقد تم إعداد هذه الترجمة حتى شهر مايو عام 2008 و 2013 بواسطة: الأستاذ الدكتور أميه علوان والأستاذ الدكتور محيي الدين إسماعيل علم الدين، والأستاذ الدكتور محمد حسام محمود لطفي وهم جميعًا من أساتذة القانون. والمؤلفون لهذه الترجمة يذكرون بالشكر والعرفان مكتب الشلقاني للاستشارات القانونية على ترجمة الطبعة الأولى من مبادئ "يونيدروا" عام 1994 والذي نشر ترجمتها عام 2000، واعتمد عليها معهد " يونيدروا" والمؤلفون لهذه الترجمة كأساس لطبعتي 2008 و 2013. ولم يراجع معهد " يونيدروا" هذه الترجمة العربية بعد إعدادها، نظرًا لأن اللغة العربية ليست من اللغات الرسمية لمعهد " يونيدروا" ولكن المعهد صرح بها باتفاقات موقعة منه ومن المؤلفين (معهد "يونيدروا" _ 28 طريق بانيسبرنا_ 148.. روما_ إيطاليا).
