هذا الكتاب "موسوعة الأمثال الشعبية"، هى توثيق للأمثال الشعبية المصرية التى تعبر عن روح الشعب المصري وتاريخه وأصالته وهي سجل لفترات تاريخية عاشها أبناء وادي النيل، يضم الكتاب أكثر من 4600 مثل شعبي مصري تم تصنيف الأمثال طبقا لمضاربها وتصنيف الموضوعات إلى أكثر من 300 موضوع.
منذ قرابة العشر سنوات استهوتني بعض الأمثال العامية واستشعرت فيها جمال ومتعة فبدأت في محاولة لتجميعها، وقمت بالبحث عنها فلم أجد الكثير من المصادر المكتوبة، فبحثت كثيرا وكان القرار ان اقوم بتجميع الأمثال مشافهة وتتطلب ذلك جهدا كبيرا ولقاءات كثيرة مع ابناء شعب مصر العظيم في جميع المواقع والمنتديات، وجبت البلاد من أقصاها إلي أدنها وسافرت الي أنحاء القطر المصري للحصول عليها وتجميعها ووجدت بغيتي ومرادي عند الطبقات الشعبية.
التقيت بأبناء مصر في الريف والحضر، وقد قدم لي الكثيرون يد المساعدة بحماس رائع، وبعد جهدا كبيرا وعناء ممتع استطعت تجميع قرابة الثمانية آلاف مثل شعبي، وهنا وجدت أن الأمانه اثقلت كاهلي، وأنه أصبح هناك التزام أدبي تجاه مصر والمصريين أن أقدم لهم هذه الموسوعة.
عكفت ومعاي ابنتاي "داليا ونهي" علي إصدارها طبقا لمضاربها وهي مرحلة أكثر صعوبة،فهناك من المثال ما يمكن وضعه في أكثر من موضوع فاستقر الرأي علي أن نصف المثل في أقرب مضرب له وتركنا للقارئ حرية أن يوجه المثل حينما يراه ويستشعره.
قمنا بتصنيف مضارب الأمثال إلي قرابة ثلاث مائة مضرب وبعد جهدا احسبه كبيرا قمنا بتصنيف أربعه آلاف وستمائة ونرجو ان نستكمل باقي الأمثال في طبعات تالية.
