يتجاور - بل يتحاور - فى هذا الديوان قلم الاديب وريشة الفنان ليقدم احمد مرسي - الشاعر والفنان التشكيلى المصرى المقيم بنيويورك - عملا طليعيا ينضم الى أعمال سابقة له ولرواد من مجايليه . منطلق الشاعر هنا هو معارضة " المواقف والمخاطبات " للمتصوف العربى الكبير النفرى والمواقف والمخاطبات اثر نفيس تدهشنا معاصرته رغم مرور قرابة أحد عشر قرنا عليه . يهيمن البحر - الصورة المركزية فى هذا الديوان - بأمواجه ومده ورماله وأسماكه وملاحية وموانية وأعاصيره ورياحه وسفنه وغرقاه وأصواته على قصائد الديوان كأنها ليفتح امام القارئ افقا لامتناهيا نحو عوالم المجهول والسر . فى هذه النصوص التى تزاوج بين قصائد النثر والايقاع التفعيلى - ومضات من تصاوير دالى السريالية وحدائق الرمز عند بول فاليرى وابتعاث لشعراء راحلين مثل الن جينسبرج واماكن مختلفة من نيويورك وغابات من النيون وناطحات سحاب ومدن حجرية زجاجية اسمنتية فولاذية مطاطية قاسية ووراء هذا كله حنين الشاعر موطنه وطفولته وذكرياته فى الاسكندرية والقاهرة .
