أنا قابيل يا أخي، شكوتك إلى السلطان فكانت جائزته أن أحل دمك لي، أنا قابيل يا أخي، قتلتك ولم أحسن القتلة، لففت الحبل حول عنقك ولم أختر حتى حبلاً متيناً ليقتلك من المرة الأولى فحملت إثم قتلك وإثم تعذيبك، قتلتك ليس فقط، كما سيقولون، لكل ما اخذت ولكن أيضاً لما يمكن أن تأخذه مني بعد ذلك، أنا قابيل يا أخي، صنعت كل الحبال الرديئة ولففتها حول عنقك حبلاً حبلاً ولم أدري بعد ذلك ما افعله سوى أن اصرخ في الفضاء عجزاً أن لا أكون مثل الغراب.. لم أواري جثتك كما يجب، لم أربي اولاد بعدك، ولا أولادي وتركت إمرأتك تتسول بثدييها وكذلك إمرأتي، وكل ما اغضبني أنك شكوت من رداءة حبالي.
