في هذا الديوان يخاطب الشاعر "عزت الطيرى" الليل والشارع والأطفال والأبواب.. يسأل قصاصات الشعر المنثور ومواعيد العشاق.. يجوب الوادى مثقل الفؤاد باحثاًً من سيدة قلبه التى اسماها "سيدة التفاح" ، و بمنتهى العشق والرومانسية خطها على صفحات الديوان وإختارها لتكون العنوان. ليست هذه هى القصيدة الوحيدة التى نشعرها تخرج من عزف أوتار قلبه ولكن كل القصائد تتمتع بهذا الحس المرهف وتلك الرومانسية المطعمة بكلمات اللغة العربية الفصحى التى لم تكن حاجزاً يمنع وصول المعانى والمشاعر، وإنما كانت خير جسر حمل إلينا ما يئن به الديوان.
