يسعى هذا العمل إلى دراسة بعض التمظهرات للمنهج البنيوي التكويني على شكل قراءة للأصل الغربي من خلال بعض أعمال رائدي هذه المدرسة جورج لوكاتش ولوسيان جولدمان وذلك من أجل فحص المبادئ الأساسية للنظرية ومدى كونها تطوراً للنظريات السابقة عليها أو قفز وطفرة ليست نتيجة تطور ذاتي عن المناهج الأولى.
إن قراءة الأصل الغربي للمنهج البنيوي التكويني في الفصل الأول كان مساعداً على أن يجعل اهتمامنا بالمصطلحات منطقياً لتكتمل النظرة حول المنهج من جهة ومن جهة أخرى كان مقدمة للدخول في الفصل الثاني بزاد من خلاله يمكن أن نعرف مدى تمشي النقد العربي في تطوره مع التطور النقدي في الغرب ولذلك فقد جاءت المعالجة في هذا الفصل تاريخية تعتمد على مقولة مفادها أن النقد العربي كان في تطوره من التاريخية إلى البنيوية مروراً بالاهتمامات الأيديولوجية يرسم طريقة أي تبني المنهج البنيوي التكويني لأنه يلبي رغبة النقاد العرب في جمعه بين الاهتمام بالنواحي الجمالية المميزة للأعمال الأدبية بالإضافة إلى أنه لم يهمل المعالجة المضمونية التي لا غنى عنها لفهم الأعمال الأدبية حق الفهم ثم أنه ربط بين الناحتين ربطاً منطقياً ليس عن طريق الانعكاس كما كان في المراحل الأيديولوجية وإنما عن طريق تناظر البنيات.
هذه الأسباب وغيرها جعلت المنهج التكويني أكثر جاذبية من غيره الساحة العربية على الأقل خلال العقيدين الأخيرين من القرن العشرين سواء في ذلك النقد المغربي أو المشرقي كما لاحظنا مع اختلافهما.
