ألقى التصعيد الأخير بين إدارة ترامب وإيران الضوءَ مرة أخرى على النشاطات الإقليمية لقوات الحرس الثوري الإيراني؛ هذه الهيئة النخبوية المثيرة للجدل التي تتولَّى معظم ملفات سياسة الشرق الأوسط الإقليمية الإيرانية.
كما عانى الحرس الثوري من هجوم متزايد على إثر الفشل الذريع للمرشحين الذين يُعَدُّون متحالفين معه في الإنتخابات الإيرانية التي عُقدت في مايو 2017م؛ مثل إبراهيم رئيسي، ومحمد باقر قاليباف.
وتعرض الحرس الثوري لمزيد من الضربات المنسَّقة من الرئيس حسن روحاني ضد إمبراطوريته الإقتصادية مترامية الأطراف، ومع ذلك لم تتأثر نشاطات الحرس الإقليمية حتى الآن؛ إذ يستفيد من الدعم الصريح من بعض الشخصيات التي تجمعها مع القوات النخبوية علاقةٌ مثيرة للجدل؛ مثل الرئيس روحاني نفسه، والرئيس السابق محمد خاتمي.
ويحلَّل هذا المقال الحالة الراهنة، مع الأخذ في الحسبان العلاقةَ المعقدة بين قوات الحرس الثوري الإيراني وأصحاب المصلحة من ذوي النفوذ داخل الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، كما يقيَّم بشكل خاص المرحلة الجديدة للعلاقات بين قوات الحرس الثوري والحكومة في إيران، التي نتج عنها إنقسام حقيقي في الآراء ووجهات النظر المتعلقة بنشاطات القوات الداخلية والخارجية.
