بين دفتي هذا الكتاب عدد من فنون البلاغة، يأتي على رأسها فن التقديم والتأخير تطبيقًا على سورة البقرة، وفيه يتضح أن تقديم الدوال يستهدف بالضرورة نواتج بغيره لا تتحقق، بعض هذه النواتج دلالي؛ كالاختصاص وإزالة الالتباس ونحوهما، وبعضها الآخر دلالي وصوتي في آن؛ حيث يراعى تواتر فاصلة قرآنية بعينها، تجعل المعاني تسافر إلى الوجدان في يسر، وتخلد في الذاكرة، وتجعل التلقي فعلًا بهيجًا.
والفن البلاغي الثاني بين فنون هذا الكتاب هو فن الإيجاز قصرًا كان الإيجاز أو حذفًا، وفيه حرص المبدع على تحرير المتلقي- وبالذات في الإيجاز بالحذف- من الاسترخاء، ودفعه إلى تقدير المحذوفات؛ ومن ثم الإسهام في إنتاج الدلالة.
ثالث الفنون هو الإطناب بموضوعاته المختلفة؛ كالتكرار والإيغال، والتذييل، وذكر الخاص بعد العام، وكلها موضوعات أسهمت في صوغ ملامح العبارة العربية عند إبداعها أو تلقيها.
رابع الفنون هو الإنشاء الطلبي: الأمر والنهي والاستفهام والتمني والنداء، وهو أسلوب شائق، وبخاصة حين يخرج إلى فضاءات مجازية تغاير ما وضع له الأسلوب حقيقة.
