فالتعبير والإنشاء من أهم فروع اللغة العربية، إذ أنهما أصل وغيرها فرع، ولكن مادة بلا مقرر محدد المفردات والمهارات، يظل الكثير من أهدافها بعيد المنال. وهذا ما حدث لمادتى التعبير والإنشاء، حيث ظلت ردحاً من الزمن بلا مفردات أو مهارات واضحة المعالم للمعلم والطالب.
وأضحى التباين فى تلك الفترة سيد الموقف فى الميدان تدريساً وتقويماً، مما جعل أبناءنا الطلاب يفتقرون إلى كثير من مهارات التحدث والتحرير.
فلا يتم تدريس قواعد كتابة موضوعات التعبير كما لم يتم التدريب على نقل الأحاسيس والمشاعر إلى ورقة مكتوبة بأسلوب منمق وسليم لغوياً وأيضاً منطقياً. فموضوع التعبير أو الإنشاء فى الأساس يحتاج إلى وعى كبير من الطالب يفوق سنة عادة، ويحتاج أن يكون طلق اللسان، ولكن بالفصحى بالطبع وليس بالعامية، أو يكون لدية القدرة على تحويل تعبيراته العامية تلقائياً والمترددة فى ذهنه وباله إلى تعبيراً.
