محمد بن سيرين البصري، الأنصاري بالولاء، أبو بكر: إمام وقته في علوم الدين بالبصرة.
تابعي. من أشراف الكتاب. مولده ووفاته في البصرة.
نشأ بزازا، في أذنه صمم. وتفقه وروى الحديث، واشتهر بالورع وتعبير الرؤيا.
واستكتبه أنس بن مالك، بفارس. وكان أبوه مولى لأنس.
ينسب له كتاب (تعبير الرؤيا - ط) ذكره ابن النديم، وهو غير (منتخب الكلام في تفسير الأحلام) المطبوع، المنسوب إليه أيضا، وليس له .

Traduire les recits de reves, d'une langue a une autre, surtout quand il s'agit d'un texte ancien, exige une importante attention, et une fluide de ce texte, dit populaire, nous avons limite au minimum le renvoi aux notes de bas de page, optant, le plus souvent, le message-flash au coeur du texte en indiquant:
-La place exacte des citations coraniques (la sourate en chiffres romains, et le verset en chiffres arabes).
-Les mots et les noms propres transcrits de l'arabe, insuffisemment rendus dans leurs snorites pour un arabisant; il nous a semble ainsi qu'ils demeurent mieux integres au corps du texte pour des lecteurs seulement francophones.
Pour la traduction des versets coraniques cites de le texte nous avons en recours au travail de M. Albin de Biberstein KAZIMIRSKI. presente et annote par M. Maxime RODINSON- (Editions Garnier Freres-Paris- 1981).
Ainsi, nous presentons la traduction du livre intitule, (le grand livre de l'interpretation de reves), et attribue a Ibn sirine, contenant de nombreux recits et anecdotes, interpretes par d'autres interpretes qu'Ibn sirine.
Qui est donc Ibn sirine?
Il est ne en l'an 33 de l'Hegire (653 de l'ere vulgaire) deux ans avant l'assassinat du troisieme calife 'Uthmane. Sa generation va donc inaugurer cette periode d'un muet desarroi ou le Coran va reveler des zones d'ombre qu'il faudra tenter d'eclairer par un discours second, forcement coupe de la source celeste de la Revelation initiale: d'ou les portes derobees des reves s'ouvrent enfin.
