إن هذه الأمّة لا تخلو من علماء وفقهاء على مر العصور إلى أن يرث الله تعالى الأرض ومن عليها يعلمون ويجتهدون، ويبز بعضهم ويفوق الآخرين بما آتاه الله سبحانه وتعالى من دراية ورواية ومن ظهر القرن المنصرم، الشيخ محمد أبو زهرة فقيه العصر ومجتهد القرن لا يتقدم عليه أحد ولم يلحق به إلى الآن أحد، حباه الله بسطة في العلم فقيد بيراعه أوابد الفقه وأخرجه من إطاره التقليدي والمنغلق إلى روعة بيان وسهولة العبارة فجعله في متناول كل مسلم مع كثرة التأليف التي لم يستطع أحد أن يفوقه بل يدانيه ومثل هذه الشخصية حري بطلبة العلم قراءة ما كتب وتتبع أقواله والوقوف عندها لما فيها من فوائد وما تحويه من دقائق فقهية وإستنباط علمي تتم عن مقدرة وملكة فقهية قل نظيرها، وقد يتصور البعض أننا نبالغ في هذا، أو أنه كلام محب والمحب مفرط بطبعه، ولكن كل من قرأ لهذا العالم يقول ما نقول ويذهب ما نذهب إليه.
وقد تم تقسيم البحث إلى أربعة مباحث وهي: المبحث الأول: حياته الشخصية مع نظرة حول تفسيره، وقفنا في هذا المبحث عند أهم مراحل حياته، ثم عرجنا بالحديث عن تفسيره وأعطينا للقارئ وصفاً لهذا التفسير نراه مهما.
أما المبحث الثاني: الإنفراد عن الجمهور، بينا فيه معنى الإنفراد والجمهور وما المراد بهما، المبحث الثالث: حكم الإنفراد وأسبابه، وضحنا فيه أدلة القائلين بأن قول الجمهور أسلم وأحوط وقول القائلين بأن الرأي المنفرد قد يكون أحق من قول الجمهور، المبحث الرابع: المسائل التي انفرد بها في تفسيره.
وقد رتبنا المسائل حسب ورودها في التفسير وعرضنا قول الإمام مع قول الجمهور وقد نرجح بعض المسائل التي نراها تستحق الترجيح والوقوف عندها.
